CKC weekend!

Hello, hope you are having a great weekend. I'm enjoying mine. :) CKC came to Manchester, NH. My crafty friends and I took 3 classes yesterday. Fun, fun, FUN! Here are a few cards that we made during the class called Cards From the Heart Class from Heartfelt Creations. I love these flowers, they are gorgeous.

And not to mention... we shop til we drop! Check out all my new goodies! Smiley from

One of my crafty friend loves these beautiful kits from the Button Farm, she buys at least a kit every year (maybe lots more, hehe!)... So, we all caught the bug. This is my first kit (the Inspiration Journal kit) that I purchase. It's so pretty, I can't wait to get it done. Hmmm... maybe tomorrow, hehe!

Well... got to do some crafting!

At my craft lab + Baby Buds Challenge

Good morning, how are you today? Today is a very beautiful day. Yes yes, it's the day for the Royal Wedding. But for me, I will be at the CKC Convention, Manchester, NH. My crafty friends and I will be taking a few classes and shopping the day away. Plus, we are going to have our own crop night. I'll back to show up what I made, so stay tune!

Until then, over the Baby Bud Designs blog, there will be another monthly challenge (this month is Punches & Dies!). So, pull out your spellbinders punches, etc... Craft away! Plus, there is a freebie Baby Bud Umbrella (for a limited time only), hop over at grab it now! Isn't the umbrella so cute? I wanted to experiment a little bit... I put on my mad scientist hat and lab coat.

How about a polka dot umbrella? I don't know about you... I love paper piecing, but it can be challenging with digi stamps. And I never remember which is the correct right to load in the printer. So, there I decided to make my own paper...

I used a rubber polka dot background stamp, instead of ink pad... I used the new Faber-Castell big brush pen. Then I covered the dots with glossy accent.

Then I covered the Baby Bud Umbrella with Tim Holtz distressing ink pad in mustard seed. (If the red polka dots look too yellow, you can lightly wrap in with a wet paper towel or baby wipe)

Viola! I popped it with another Baby Buds Umbrella to add some dimension.

Hope you like it and happy Friday!

While we are patiently waiting for the beautiful wedding for Prince William and Kate. I used Kissy Kissy from the Greeting Farm, which I had this adorable stamp as a rubber stamp set.

She is so so cute, especially her beautiful bouquet of flowers. I started by distressing the tag, then the fun part - coloring, I finished the tag by adding the ribbon (which was dye with the new Tim Holtz stain in wild honey), and finally I added the flowers (the white one was also stamped, inked and distressed).
