Oh Baby!

What a great set that I got to work with this week. Oh baby!!! The DT is split into 2 teams for the last time as our DT term ends this week. It has been a honor to work with Mia and all the amazing AiFactory team. You ladies totally ROCK!

Here are my 2 simple cards that I made, since I don't have any friends who is expecting... so I figured to make 1 for a boy and 1 for a girl (just in case)!

It's so easy to use, I don't even have to color at all (I know... it's heartbreaking, not to color), but it's perfect for projects. Well, here is it. I love the blue and silver combination. So pretty! I keep the layout simple. I LOVE these shimmer paper.

Ivan the Pirate...

Off to sea... Then he found a treasure chest! I bet there is lots of goodies in there.

Isn't he a cutie? Ivan the Pirate. What a fun project! The challenge for this week is to create a background for Ivan. At first, I was totally stump... what can I do? My brain was thinking... a compass, a map... But then, my good friend Crissy came to the rescue, her son loves everything pirates. She lend me a Cuttlebug die cut with the pirate theme... totally cool!

Tim Holtz distressing ink pad in tea dye, MS cardstock, Copics (E000, E00, E31, E41, E43, E44, E49, E55, E57, R20, R59, Y02, YG03, W0, W2), shimmerz in silver bells, SMOOCH in molasses.

...this stunning Lily Collection from our amazing Laurie. Aren't they just gorgeous? Who needs real flowers?

And each of our DT girls are featuring different type of lilies, how cool is that? As for me, I have this lovely calla lily. I love calla lily... and they were on my beautiful wedding bouquet too. Ohhhh... beautiful memories. Since I love pink, I decided to color them in shades of pink. For our challenge, we are to create a clear and simple card!

So, I thought of a simple card (but forgot the CLEAR part, so sorry!)


And, here is CLEAR and simple card, I altered with card! I used acetate, and move the pretty pearls in the front!

What's COOKING at AiFactory?

Hope you are hungry! We are doing some major COOKING at AiFactory today by the DTs. We have a chance to play with these awesome recipe cards. Check them out HERE... they come in 5 different colors, I used the black ones. They are so fun, just print, cut, and crop along the marked lines. Viola!

As for me, I'm all about simple cooking... I love pre-made Trade Joe's meals, my favorite... Orange Chicken + Vegetable Fried Rice + Veggie Bird Nest = A perfect meal!!! But, even if I cook for real meal, I don't measure anything at all. So, I got an idea while reading the Food Network magazine. The magazine has a section called "Get your Greens", a bunch off yummy snack in celebration for St. Patrick's Day. This Avocado hummus sounds yummy and very easy to make, I have to give it a try!

Oh my, what a fun and challenging week! Gone bananas with 3D... I think I need a shopping fix after this. :) How about an AiFactory designer purse? Instead of LV, we should have AIF, I bet it will look really cool! I have seen this paper-made wallet from my LSS a while ago, and I was surfing the SCS resource page and find the tutorial. I'm super excited and want to try it out.



I used the beautiful 2010 Vintage Printable Calendar, I cut out the beautiful medallion, distressed the edges with Tim Holtz weathered wood ink pad. And I added lots of silver blings. Just in case, if you are wondering... I used Bazzil cs for this.


Later, I think I should put some $$$ in this, so that I can go shopping.

Happy Thursday my friends...

As you know... normally I would have 2 posts on Thursdays. But for this week, both AiFactory and Softpencil DTs are working with super adorable image(s) from our talenated Elizabeth. And do you know that Softpencil's images can be purchase at AiFactory too?

Card 1 - Be mine.

The Softpencil's DT was challenged to make a SPRING CARD (the tutorial can be found HERE), and the image we used is called Be Mine.

Goodies that I used:
DP from Basic Grey Sugar Rush, Michu is colored with Copic Markers (B91, B93, B95, E34, Y32), stardust pens, flowers were sprayed with gimmer mist in peppermint stick and hydrangea (additional blue on the mini flowers were airbrushed with copic markers B95) and pearls.


Card 2 - Many hearts.

The challenge for the AiFactory's DT is to create a card with lots of hearts with the image a lovely couple (one of my favorite!) So, I figured what better is to use valentine dp, lots of hearts and even cupids. Hehe.

Goodies that I used:
DP from Teresa Collins crush, bazzill cs, image was colored with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E55, G20, N0, N2, N4, RV11, RV32, R37), and heart blings.

Awwww... Ella, my little AiFactory sweetheart, I have the honor to use Love you Ella digi stamp set. Ella was colored with my favorite Copic Markers and stardust pens and the heart that she is holding was cover with pink fun flock. And Ella's little friend, "the puppy" is from Softpencil.

What's new at AiFactory?

Yay! It's time for AiFactory, for this week... We feature this Nautical collection clip art which is new this week at the AiFactory blog!

For this week's challenge, we are to create a card (with a sketch with the possibly to mix it last week's super cute sea creatures by Laurie), and I thought it would be perfect to do a "step" card, but then I totally forgot about the sketch thing. But, I did learned this card from one of the Amuse instructor a while back. I hope it counts towards a sketch, if not, so sorry!

A little info about this card, we were challenged to use 5 embellishments (ribbons, brads, buttons, etc.). So, here is my 5: ribbons, Tim Holtz idea-ology charms, little heart bling, flower, & brad. BINGO!!! My dp is from MS Valentine paper pad, I inked the charm with TH distress ink pad, stamped SWEET with staz on ink pad, my sweet seahorse is colored with copics (RV14, RV21, RV25, RV29), and the flower was sprayed with silver bell glimmer mist.

Happy Tuesday! It's AiFactory's time. Last minute gifts? Here is a simple one, I brought this clear container from Michaels, filled it with peppermint sticks. I used red and white cs, border is created by MS punch, then I added these yummy candy sticks, and the tag is from the Season Greetings set which I added some sparkles with my spica pens.
