Happy Saturday!

Hello hello and hope you are having a fabulous weekend!  It's beautiful in my neck of the woods...
And our outdoor furniture is out, I sat on my deck, enjoyed the beautiful day, and craft the day away!
Life sure is GOOD!

Anyways, I recently found out about these Sushi Doll, they are so so cool and super cute!
Both of these images are from the Dia de los Muertos collection.

Here is the first card, I used Choco, isn't she awesome?  I'm not a morning person... so this is totally perfect!  I thought it would be fun to have 2 Choco.  I kept the card simple.  I colored Choco with copic markers and added a wooden veneer sentiment 'daydream' and some twine.

And the second project, I did a little bit of paper piecing with Glasses (her dress).  I started to color image with Copic markers, and her paper pieced dress is created by printing another image and stamped with a background stamp (for some silly reason,  I never figure out which side of paper I have to put the pattern paper in the printer, haha).  Since, I have been dying to do something other than a card and mixed media-ish...  got to get my finger inky.  So, I got a wood plaque from the craft store and gone bananas.   First, I painted the plaque with white acyclic paint, covered most of it with my beloved washi tape, added more colors and texture with Faber Castell gelatos and Viva 3D stamp paint, and added a bit more decorations.

Well, I hope you like them and thanks so much for stopping by.

Simple cards on a summer day...

Hello and happy Thursday! It's a happy summer day here in New England, and it's also my day off. Woohoo! Just want to drop by and do a quick post...

First card is from Chi Chi Memories... since it's the summer, got to have a little bit of fun adventure! I just adore this stamp set called Splash of Fun. Check it out HERE! Isn't she super cute? I wonder what kind of fish she will find... Haha!!!

Second card, I tried to use the color combo from the online summer camp this week. This butterflies tree stamp is from the Unity June 2011 kit of the month. Honestly, I'm not quite happy with it... oh well, I will keep thinking. Off to go, Hmmm... I'm going to enjoy the weather and craft outside on my deck.

Happy Fathers Day and more...

Good morning and happy Fathers' Day to all the special DADS! I don't really celebrate Fathers Day, since my dad passed away while I was very young. But I do missed him, and wish he is around. However, I'm very blessed to have my god-father and my father-in-law. They are both wonderful. I'm sure a lucky gal! And here is a card that I made to honor this special day!
Smiley from millan.net

Here is something a little more girly. The beautiful stamp in from Hero Arts. I color the image with Faber-Castell big brush pens, I also added some extra sparkles with the Copic Spica pens.

Plus, here are some more creations from my god-sister Charmaine, she sure is a natural. She has only been crafting for only 4 days... She is already playing with distressing ink pad, perfect peals, stickles, embossing folders, and the Cricut! Smiley from millan.net

I hope you enjoyed her little showcase. Have an AWESOME day! We are off to Boston.Smiley from millan.net

Here is a perfect treat! It was difficult to pick which stamp to use when there are a brunch of COOL stamps from the June KOM. But, I was having some after-dinner ice-cream, the choice was quite clear!!! Smiley from millan.net I didn't make it to the deadline for the Bits & Pieces & Unity hip hop challenge, but I wanted to use up some of my scraps. Oh, what fun! Plus, it feels really good to use scraps...
