Play time...

Hello, hello... how are you? I have to test out my toys... The Faber-Castell gelatos. These gelatos look like tube of chapsticks. How cool is that? I decided to try out a new technique that I learned over the weekend. I used the Flower Bursts Pattern background stamp from Hero Arts and covered it with four gelatos. Speaking of FOUR... I made this card for Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge #109, the challenge is to use four of anything!

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

4 candy canes for 4 good friends...

Hello and hope you are having a good day! Not too much going on with me... just chilling at my craft space... SWEET! And you know me, I love to play at the Amuse Lounge Challenge, (theme: to do something handwritten) and the Glenda Random Amusing Challenge(theme: to use scallops on the card/project). I had one of those moments, don't know what to do, then...

I had an idea... I dressed up these candy canes for 3 of my crafting buddies for our get together. I used CindyLoo from Amuse, she is too too cute! Plus, I even colored her hair to match each of us, I added glasses to 3 of us, and her blue and pink PJ's (since 2 of them loves blue!) :)

And of course, the girl with the black hair is me, haha!

Amuse Pajama Party and Movie Night! Plus a little extra...

Howdy, there was an Amuse Pajama Party and Movie Night over at the Amuse Lounge last night. Or though... I was working and missed all the fun chatting time with the Amuse ladies. Of course, I still have to play along. Come on, what a perfect excuse to make some cards.

Challenge 1 - Jennie's pick, Pirates of the Caribbean... to create a card for a kid. What better than riding a bike with your BFF, LOL! Smiley from millan.net

Challenge 2 - Katie's pick, Dirty Dancing... a color challenge: light pink, dark pink, black, and kraft (optional). Got to do something with the shimmer paper!Smiley from millan.net

Challenge 3 - Glenda's pick, Breakfast at Tiffany's... inspiration challenge. Food came to my mine, and since it's at Tiffany's... we need some blings, right?Smiley from millan.net

I have to double drip with her GRAC challenge #89 too. For the GRAC challenge, I have to make a card for a friend or family member and sent it/give it within a week of making it. I made this card for my very good friend... she brought me to this HUGE super super cool Korean supermarket, and it has a food court with lots of yummy food. This store is WICKED awesome... I can't wait to go back and shop for more yummy Korean BBQ beef and kimchi.

Challenge #4 - Geeta's pick, Some kind of Wonderful... to create something that sparkles! So, I have to make at least one Xmas card.Smiley from millan.net And I hope I have enough sparkles... I used glitter paper as background, and I added glitter on everything.

I hope you like it... I had so much fun. To all the Amuse ladies, thanks for another WICKED awesome PJ night!!! If you want to play along with us, you have until 8pm PST tomorrow.

Embossing?

Happy Saturday!!! Hope you are enjoying the weekend!

Just want to show you a card that I whipped up for a couple challenges.

Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge #81, the theme is to do some heat embossing on your card.

Etsy Inspired challenge #105 , their featured shop this week is Handmade Whimzy's shop, there is a set of two toned pink chrysanthemum hair pins... so so cute! You know that I love flowers and they are pink too... love them!

Oh my, oh my... I haven't use embossing powder foreverrrrr! Then, I put on my thinking cap... the embossing powder will resist any ink and of course, glimmer mist!!!! How about that? An old craft goodness meets my new favorite!Smiley from millan.net

Glimmer mist it's! I first misted the watercolor paper with pink bubblegum, then use clear embossing powder and embossed this pretty flower from Amuse called open zinnia, then misted again with the beautiful black cherry "mist"fits (dude, I love this color... I'll be very sad when gone!).

Fun, fun, FUN! Off I go... got to glimmer mist some more... later! Smiley from millan.net
