Watercolor and white pen challenge!

Hello hello and happy Thursday!
It's time once again for the Art Impressions challenge!  So, for these couple of weeks, the theme is Watercolor & White pen.  Plus, there was a new release of the beautiful window deco die too. I absolutely adore the new window die.  You can check it out HERE!  And of course, the new Watercolor Mini sets too.

Here is my card for the challenge used one of the new watercolor mini called Watering cans.

And for use of the 'white pen', I used it on the flowers for some highlights.

Hope you like it and can't wait to see what you create!

Sunset ride with the girlfriends...

Hello hello and happy Monday!
It's always nice to take a walk at sunset with our love ones. But these Girlfriends totally kicked it up a notch... Got to love the Pedal Pushers set (SKU#4238).  One bicycle, four besties...
how cool is that?!

For the Girlfriends, I colored them with some watercolor oil pastels.

And on the sunset background, I used some Gelatos.  I roughly apply the gelatos on the watercolor paper (here is the order of the color, from top to bottom:  raspberry, red cherry, mango, lemon, and licorice) and then blend the colors separately with a baby wipe.   (P.S.  I did do a little bit of bending in between colors).

Make a WISH and want some CAKE?!

Hello hello and happy Monday!

Want a GIANT cake?  It's sure a yes for me!  I love cake and all things sweet.  And especially when they are delivery by these super cool Girlfriends, totally fun!  Here is a yummy birthday cake using one of the Ai Girlfriends, this is the Giant Cake set (SKU#U4386).

For the background, I decided to try out the Color Burst powder.  I misted the watercolor paper with some water first, then sparkle on the Color Burst powder.

Then, I used a paint brush to smooth out the powder to create the background desired.  Then, I distressed the edge of the watercolor paper with history smoke distress ink.  And, I used a  paint brush to splatter with some glimmer mixture (which is a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls) to create some effects.  For the Girlfriends, I colored them some watercolor pencils.

To finish it, I adhere the Girlfriends with some foam tape.  I also added some glossy accents and sparkles by using a glitter pen.  And of course, an embossed sentiment and just a few sequins.

Hope you like it and have a HAPPY day!

Beautiful cottage, new release!

Hello Ai friends, I'm so excited to share a card using the new Cottage set.  For the card, I cut out the card base which measures 5 1/2" by 4 1/4".  Then I stamped the Cottage from the Cottage & Die set (SKU# 4746), then die cut the window and die.
Note:  you can keep the two dies together, which will match the cottage stamp perfectly!  :)

I colored the cottage stamp with colored pencils, I also added a little bit of color for the background such as the grass, walkway, and the sky.

I wanted the main focus to be the beautiful cottage.  So, I kept it simple but I did added some glossy accent and some glimmer.

For the inside of the card, I used the new Good Friends set (SKU#4742).

CHEERS!

Hello hello and happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I'm sharing a super fun card featuring one of my favorite Girlfriends Wine Tasters set (SKU# 4383).   These girlfriends are awesome and totally remind me of my super cool friends.  We always have fun.  We giggle & laugh all night, eat yummy food, and maybe a glass of wine.  Good times, good times!

I started by coloring the fabulous Girlfriends with watercolor markers.  For the background, I scribble some color from the watercolor markers on the watercolor palette (see below) and spray on some water to create a 'color puddle', then I just press the watercolor paper on to the palette.

For the splatter dots, I mixed a black watercolor pen, water, and silver perfect pearls, and then splattered on to the paper with a paint brush.

To finished the card, I added a strip of vellum paper for my sentiment which was embossed with black embossing powder. Plus, touch of glossy accent and glimmer.  Viola!

I had so much fun with the first card, I made another one.  Hehe!

Cheers and have a wonderful day!
